Project Cargo & Yacht Transport ships 33 m / 90 t yacht

In Uncategorized on August 27, 2010 at 1:26 pm

Project Cargo & Yacht Transport, a GPLN member in Turkey, recently completed the successful shipment of a 33 meter / 90 ton yacht belonging to a sheikh from the United Arab Emirates. This yacht was being built in a shipyard in Tuzla, Bosnia-Hercegovina, but the shipyard unfortunately went bankrupt. This ended up in the unfortunate situation that the sheikh had to buy his own yacht back from the Bosnian government the he wanted to bring it to the United Arab Emirates to finish the work.

“It had no engine installed yet and we had to carry the main body,” said Erim Tabib, General Director of Project Cargo & Yacht Transport, “As Tuzla is not a costumed port, we had to load the yacht from Derince but bringing the yacht from Tuzla to Derince was a problem because it had no engine to sail itself. Therefore we had to arrange tugs to pull it to Derince with a four hour operation. We had to make the yacht ready at Derince before vessel’s arrival, otherwise the owners would claim detention.”

“Our yacht was berthed at a free berth, waiting for the vessel’s arrival. After the vessel arrived we had to bring the yacht alongside the vessel, so we needed tug boat operation again. The tug boats came again, brought the yacht alongside. The vessel could lift the 90 tons yacht with its own gear since actually had a lifting capacity up to 160 tons.”

“We have the knowledge and joy to take care of every hassle and detail.”
